I have been working as the layout designer for the association Suomen Japaninpystykorvayhdistys since the beginning of 2023. Throughout the years we have, with the editorial board, gradually updated the magazine’s design, introducing a fresh contemporary aesthetic while preserving magazine’s core visual identity. Magazines original colour palette was red, white, and black. These strong colours have been supplemented with a soft pink as a medium tone shade. The magazine’s typography has been streamlined, selecting a more limited set of typefaces to create a more cohesive over all design.
