I designed the cover for Hegel: Henki ja luonto (Hegel: Spirit and Nature), published by SoPhi. The client suggested the central motif—a rose—drawing on Hegel’s metaphor of the rose as a symbol of reason. Beyond this, I was given complete artistic freedom.

The client appreciated my earlier cover design for the Finnish translation of Yrjö Hirn’s book, which inspired me to adopt a print-like aesthetic rather than using a realistic photograph for this cover. The design was created from a photo provided by the client.

The book was initially released in digital format. The design for the back cover and spine were created for the subsequent printed edition.
